Celebrating 25 Years: The KBNF Story

How does a global movement begin? It starts with a single connection and a leap of faith. This video celebrates the incredible 25-year journey of the Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation (KBNF.)

The story began in Vancouver when a visiting doctor from Ghana, Dr. Thomas Dakura, asked a nurse a life-changing question: "Would you ever consider coming to Ghana to train my nurses?".

Marj Ratel’s heart leapt, and she rallied her colleagues to help. What started as a small commitment grew rapidly. One yes grew into an organization shipping containers of medical equipment and supplies to five countries in West Africa, as well as providing education and training and medical missions to offer free brain and spine surgeries to those who can't afford them otherwise.

Join us in celebrating a legacy of visionaries, volunteers, and the power of working together to make a difference.
