There is a great deficiency in the neuroscience specialty. The Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation (B.C. non-profit society) and the Korle-Bu Foundation (Canada) are addressing the critical need for improved neurological care in Ghana and the West African region.

Premature deaths are a daily occurrence on a continent that desperately needs medical help. Many are never able to enjoy life to the fullest because the care they need is not available to them.

We have established a plan to improve the quality of neuroscience care by initiating a training program that will provide a base of competent professionals for the new Neuroscience Centre of Excellence facility.
